Uhuru picks ex-spy Noordin Haji as DPP

President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated a former spy, Noordin Mohamed Haji as the new Director of Public Prosecutions to replace Keriako Tobiko who was made minister for Environment.

He also forwarded the name of Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki to parliament as his nominee for Attorney-General replacing Prof Githu Muigai who quit late last month.

The two were named in an annoucement that also included the nomination of political rejects Dr Wilfred Machage as am ambassador Mohamed Ibrahim Elmi as the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for  for environment and Hassan Noor Hassan as CAS for sports.

Also named to the position of Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) are Eng. John Mosonik to be the CAS for Petroleum and Mining.

Harry Kimutai has been nominated as PS for Livestock, Alfred Cheruiyot PS Correctional Services , Prof. Fred K. SigorPS Irrigation, Mr. Jerom Ochieng’ PS ICT,  Susan KomenPS EAC and John Murangi Omenge PS Mining.

Uhuru also nominated to the position of Ambassador, Amb. Richard Titus Ekai and Amb. Eng. John Okuna Ogango.
