The Jubilee Party has cancelled the Parliamentary Group meeting that had been scheduled for tomorrow as crisis in the party deepened.
A press statement by the party Secretary Raphael Tuju also denied claims of a split in the party.
“After due consultation and after speaking to out Parliamentary Majority leader Hon. Aden Dualle, I am able to confirm that there will be no Jubilee PG meeting tomorrow and any media reports to the contrary have no basis,” states Mr Tuju.
Mr Tuju further stated: “ I would like to assure members that there is nothing even close to a crisis in the party”.
Mr Tuju stated that the party if focused on delivering President Uhuru Kenyatta’s transformative agenda of his second term and will not be distracted by such claims.
He noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta had promised to hold a retreat for members and they consulting to find the appropriate date for the retreat.
