Five children admitted in hospital after thugs shootout

Five children were shot and seriously injured by armed gangsters on Tuesday afternoon as they were walking home from school in Dandora phase 4's Gitare marigu area. The minors, all pupils at Juhudi Academy in Dandora phase 4 were walking him at about 4pm when the thy were caught up in a gangsters brawl.

The Dandora ph4 area chief reported to police that three young men believed to be robbers were seen arguing over sharing of loot near Juhudi academy before two of them  started chasing one.
The two shot their accomplice vin the chin twice killing the man later identified as Martin Njogu on the spot.
The two who fled on foot into the sprawling slums.
The five children were seriounamely eight year old Lorenza Atieno aged 8yrs was injured on the left knee,Billy otieno, 7yrs was shot in the left hand, Joshua otieno. 8yrs was shot on the right leg while four year old June Kiplimo was shot in right thigh and six year old Owino Obuya was injured in right thigh.
The minors were  rushed to nearby dispensary and later transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital. 
Police recovered two spent AK47 cartridges.
